Frequently asked questions

What is Peppol?
Peppol defines the exact data format (based on XML). This means that an invoice is not just an image (PDF), but a structured file that the computer on the other side understands. It knows precisely where the amount is, where the VAT is and where the account number is – and it writes these details directly into the system. Peppol makes invoicing as simple and reliable as sending emails, but with the security and accuracy of a bank transfer.
What happens when I receive an e-invoice?
Pepposh will immediately notify you of every received document. The data is automatically processed and ready for accounting. You receive a receipt confirmation in real time.
Can I issue e-invoices without my own software?
Yes. Pepposh offers a web interface where you can create a basic invoice directly in the application, without needing your own accounting software.
Can this solution be connected to external invoicing tools?
Yes. Pepposh offers a REST API and direct integrations with ABRA Flexi, Pohoda, Money S3 and ABRA Gen. For other systems a REST API with full documentation is available.
What about cross-border invoices?
The Peppol network is pan-European – you can send and receive invoices from partners in all EU countries connected to the network. Pepposh automatically ensures the correct format for each country.
How long must I keep these documents in the archive?
Legislation generally requires keeping tax documents for 10 years. Pepposh retains digital copies of your documents in compliance with these requirements.
Implementation and costs: What will it cost me?
The basic package is completely free – send and receive up to 5 invoices per month at no charge. Paid plans start from €12/month. No hidden fees, no implementation costs – setup takes a few minutes.
Identity and security?
Only verified entities enter the Peppol network. Pepposh ensures transmission encryption, an audit trail for every document and data integrity. Your invoice cannot be altered in transit – every transmission is cryptographically signed and verified.
Do you support EN 16931 or BIS 3?
Yes, sending and receiving documents in BIS 3 is supported.
How long do you archive data?
For paid customers, data is archived for 10 years. For free accounts, it is kept for 24 months. You can always export the entire archive as a ZIP file with all documents.
